This Elemental Music reissue presents Tyrone Davis’ classic album I Just Can’t Keep On Going released by the Columbia label in 1980. His penultimate record for Columbia, it shifts in mood from fast numbers to the elegant ballads that are his trademark. Davis is considered the “king of romantic Chicago soul”, for he moved to that city in 1959 and worked there as a valet for bluesman Freddie King.
