Numbered limited edition 2CD set. Also available as a Deluxe 180-gram 2-LP Gatefold Edition.

Yusef Lateef – Golden Flower: Live in Sweden presents two never-before-released performances by the visionary multi-instrumentalist, drawn from the original tape reels at Swedish Radio and newly prepared for a deluxe Elemental Music release.

This limited edition 2-CD digipak includes a 20-page booklet featuring rare photos, new essays by Herb Boyd and producer Zev Feldman, plus testimonies by Jeff Coffin, Chico Freeman and Charlie Apicella. The music was transferred from the original Sveriges Radio tapes.

Recorded in Stockholm (1967) with Lars Sjösten, Palle Danielsson and Albert “Tootie” Heath, and at the Åhus Jazz Festival (1972) with Kenny Barron, Bob Cunningham and Albert “Tootie” Heath. These historic concerts illuminate Lateef’s singular voice on tenor saxophone and flute across repertoire that spans elegance, fire, and deep groove.
