Los Angeles based tenor saxophonist Teddy Edwards is featured here on one of his rare tips to New York, with Duke Jordan, Larry Ridley and Freddy Waits. Producer Don Schlitten gave Edwards the opprotunity to put together and blow on a beautifully paced program of four standars and two of the saxophonist's originals. The backing trio propels the flow with intensity and nuance. "Sunset eyes" is an authentic masterpice!
