Transferred from the original tape reels and mastered for vinyl by the legendary Bernie Grundman, these two individual limited-edition 180-gram 2-LP sets (Volume 1: 1963-1965 and Volume 2: 1965-1968) are being released at the same time, with a third 2-LP volume to come at a later date. The deluxe packages include extensive booklets with rare photos, liner notes by journalist Eugene Holly, Jr., and interviews with pianists Ramsey Lewis, Jon Batiste, Hiromi and more, plus producer Marshall Chess of Chess/Argo Records. These will mark the first 2 releases from producer and "Jazz Detective" Zev Feldman's new label venture Deep Digs Music Group, in partnership with Elemental Music.
