Forthcoming 2020 Limited Edition 180 Gram LP Reissues!

A new batch of Limited 180 Gram LP reissues from the vaults of the legendary label A&M Records is coming out this 2020.

A&M Records was an American record label founded as an independent company by Herb Alpert and Jerry Moss in 1962. Due to the success of the discography A&M released, the label garnered interest and was acquired by PolyGram in 1989 and began distributing releases from Polydor Ltd. from the UK. Throughout its operations, A&M housed well-known acts such as Gin Blossoms, Dishwalla, Joe Cocker, Procol Harum, Captain & Tennille, Sting, Sergio Mendes, Ozark Mountain Daredevils, Supertramp, Bryan Adams, Burt Bacharach, Liza Minnelli, The Carpenters, Paul Williams, Quincy Jones, Janet Jackson, Cat Stevens, Peter Frampton, Elkie Brooks, Carole King, Styx, Extreme, Amy Grant, Joan Baez, the Human League, The Police, Jann Arden, CeCe Peniston, Blues Traveler, Soundgarden, Duffy and Sheryl Crow.

Reissue of the 5th studio album by Brazilian jazz legend Antônio Carlos Jobim. Considered one of Jobim’s best albums, this masterpiece peaked at #5 on the Billboard Jazz Albums chart. It features a plethora of star sidemen, such as Dom Um Romão, Claudio Slon, Jerome Richardson, Ron Carter & Urbie Green, among others, as well as superb arrangements by Claus Ogerman.

VINDICATOR is the debut solo album by Arthur Lee, formerly of the legendary ‘60s band LOVE. Released in 1972 by A&M, the LP features a muscular set of guitar-fueled hard rock laced with blues. The influence of Lee’s friend Jimi Hendrix is prevalent throughout the record. Included here is the superb soul spin “Everybody’s Gotta Live”.

It contains their first two major hits: “We’ve Only Just Begun,” and the classic Bacharach/David standard “Close to You.” Ranked as #175 on Rolling Stone Magazine’s list of the 500 greatest albums of all time, this 1970 pop masterpiece topped the Canadian Albums Chart and peaked at #2 on the US Billboard albums chart.

Reissue of the 6th studio album by Brazilian jazz legend Antônio Carlos Jobim. Released in 1970 on A&M Records, this instrumental Bossa Jazz masterpiece was produced by Creed Taylor and engineered by Rudy Van Gelder. It features the arrangements of Eumir Deodato (who also conducted the band), and includes a plethora of sidemen from the U.S. jazz scene, such as Joe Farrell, Hubert Laws and Ron Carter, as well as Brazilian stars like Hermeto Pascoal, Airto Moreira and João Palma.
